MDG is proud to offer cities GIS mapping services. Geographical Information System mapping is a system for capturing, storing, analyizing and managing data that is tied to specific geographic locations. GIS allows MDG to create, analyize, and edit maps which present specific data relative to specific parcels of land at a municipal level. Just a few examples of the power of GIS include the creation of municipal maps presenting the national wetland inventory, public waters, trade areas, population distribution, age of housing stock, soil types, actual land use compared to zoning classifications, projected future land use, aerial photography and any combination thereof.
